They launched in 1996 by founders Dean and Davis Factor, great-grandsons of makeup artists Max Factor. With several years of photography studio experience, Dean and Davis wanted to create makeup products that could not only withstand a studio environment but reality too.

In 2000, they launched their signature Photo Finish Foundation Primer which was made for touch-ups between photo shoots. Today, it's their bestselling product and helps makeup to stay put (and perfect) all day long.
