One afternoon back in 1977, Paolo Porodi realized that, after going into several hair salons all across Italy, there was something important missing. There wasn't a way for women to dry their hair effectively.

Being a smart entrepreneur, he seized the opportunity to create the hairdryer—an item so commonplace in our everyday lives that it seems strange to imagine that we once lived without it.

The team of young professionals working at Parlux began working on a product that would revolutionize the industry forever. And finally, the Superturbo 1500 was born.

It was an instant success in the hair industry thanks to its obvious simplicity, efficiency and innovation in the market. It quickly became a staple in households across the world and a key part of men and women's hair routines. The product was the benchmark for Parlux's success and the springboard for expansion.

Since then, Parlux have moved with the times, creating hairdryers that are eco-friendly, more aesthetically pleasing and some that are even completely silent whilst in use – Parlux really have thought of everything.
