Shea butter, meanwhile, works on your skin over the course of the night, restructuring and restoring skin. And then there's saffron flower extract, which counteracts inflammation and irritation with its distinctive soothing properties.

The creams richness, however, doesn't translate to a formula that's heavy and greasy. Instead, its lightweight, smooth feel suggests little of its true transformative power.
