PHYTO, the haircare brand that caters to all hair types is the brainchild of Patrick Alès, who founded the brand after working closely with hair for decades. Patrick was able to utilise his haircare knowhow from previously working as a celebrity hairstylist and bottle it into products that anyone can bring home.

Combining his love for haircare and botanicals, Patrick created a range of products that utilised the power of nature to provide effective results on all hair types. However, it was time for PHYTO to focus on drier, frizzier textures. Patrick Alès remembers seeing these hair types in his salon and wanting to focus on finding manageable solutions – cue, the birth of PHYTOSPECIFIC.

The collection focuses on providing formulas that exclusively target textured hair and delivers an extra boost of moisture and attention. The high-end collection was debuted in 1988 and became a complete success. Today, PHYTOSPECIFIC still combines plant power with a combination of oils and other ingenious ingredients.
