In 1986, renowned Japanese actress Ai Saotome was desperate to overcome her stressed skin. With hours spent in heavy makeup and under sweltering lights, Ai's complexion was depleted and lacked the fresh glow she craved.

Inspired by her need and the deeply rooted skincare rituals of her country, Ai set out to create a line of pure and healthy skincare that would deliver radiant skin on and off screen. Enter: Koh Gen Do.

Born in Tokyo and raised on movie sets around the world, Koh Gen Do fuses the planet's most precious botanicals with Japanese skincare technology in order to create formulas that nourish, protect and revive a natural complexion.
