Product Description
This crisp and vibrant creation from Hermès juxtaposes the tanginess of rhubarb against the softness of white musks. It was perfumer Christine Nagel's first cologne for the house, and she celebrated the occasion by formulating something far removed from convention.
The very duality of the rhubarb was her starting point. Just as the green surface transforms to red, so too the sweet vegetable's scent progresses from sharp and acidic to velvet soft. This complex, multi-faceted and constantly shifting nature was what she aimed to replicate in the cologne.
And, thanks to the measured inclusion of red berries and white musks, she was able to create a fragrance that's truly unprecedented. Its bold aromatic identity is more vegetal than citrus, thereby offering the contemporary man or woman a scent that's not just been given a few cursory tweaks, but is fundamentally different to most on the market.
