Starting their journey 45 years ago, Dark and Lovely introduced an innovative line of hair colour products that were formulated specifically for African American women. Their small but effective range soon grew a cult following that led them from success to success.

Word quickly got around and the once dye-focused company found themselves with the platform to introduce many other hair care and styling products for women. In 2006, Dark and Lovely officially launched their fade-resistant hair colour range, before then making Bria Murphy their official spokesperson in 2012. Just one year later, the brand then launched in Nigeria and haven't looked back since.
