Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1 for Very Dry to Dry Skin, which is more of a toner than a moisturiser, is great at gently exfoliating dry skin, deeply cleansing the pores and readying the skin for an application of hydrating moisturiser which can penetrate the epidermis once the dry layer has been removed.
Clinique has a three-step facial regime, and Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1 is step two in that process. It can be used alone or as part of the full regime for a total complexion recovery.

How do you use it?
- Wash your face (using Clinique's Face Wash, if you are following the three steps) and pat dry
- Apply the clarifying lotion with a cotton padin gentle sweeping motions over face and neck
- Follow with Step 3: Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion+ or Gel
