Medicube Review: Are These Viral Skincare Products Worth the Hype?

In today’s fast-paced world of trending skincare, it’s easy to get swept up by products that promise glowing skin but maybe don’t always deliver. Medicube, a Korean beauty brand that’s gone viral on TikTok, has been making waves with its increasingly popular skincare range—particularly the Zero Pore Pad, Collagen Jelly Cream, and Collagen Night Wrapping Mask. But do these cult-favourite products actually work, or are they just another social media sensation? After a full month of testing, here’s our honest Medicube skincare review.

Medicube Collagen Jelly Cream

£27.99

Firm and deeply hydrate with this uniquely textured moisturiser, enriched with Hydrolysed Collagen, made to improve elasticity and plumpness. Adenosine helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, while Niacinamide brightens and evens skin tone. The inclusion of Centella Asiatica extract lends calming, antioxidant-rich support, making this cream a soothing treat for stressed skin. The jelly-like texture is refreshingly novel, absorbing into the skin with the purpose of giving it a bounce—a sensorial addition to any ritual.

From the outset, Medicube impresses with what appears to be some fairly innovative, simple - yet aesthetically clean - user-friendly packaging. Each product features handy practical design touches that elevate the experience—like the built-in tweezers and easy-access lid for the Zero Pore Pad, or the included spatula and double-seal lid for the Collagen Jelly Cream. These thoughtful extras don’t go unnoticed and make the range feel more premium. Plus, when it comes to quantity, a little really does go a long way—which means great value for your skincare investment.

Medicube Zero Pore Pads 2.0

£21.90

A serious contender in gentle exfoliation, the Zero Pore Pad is powered by AHA (Glycolic Acid) and BHA (Salicylic Acid) to slough away dead skin cells, unclog pores, and balance oil production without compromising skin integrity. Panthenol and Allantoin soothe and hydrate, making it suitable for daily use—even on sensitive skin. Housed in a sleek jar with included tweezers, it’s both hygienic and high-performing: a refined alternative to harsher chemical exfoliants. Read on for our Medicube Zero Pore Pad review.

While the overall experience is polished packaging-wise, the textures of some products didn’t fully win us over and took some getting used to. The Collagen Jelly Cream has a gelatinous consistency that made for a feel that was initially difficult - and quite weird - to adjust to. It was a gooey feel that felt almost as though it was sitting on top of the face. Similarly, the Collagen Wrapping Mask—which peels off like a film (or is supposed to...I admittedly could not get it to and usually ended up just washing it off)—feels more gimmicky than game-changing. Its popularity on social media makes sense visually, but in daily skincare, it didn’t feel essential or especially effective.

Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask

£25.50 £28.50 (11% off)

This peel-off sleeping mask creates a film over the skin, designed to seal in your entire skincare routine while delivering a hit of Hydrolysed Collagen for overnight plumping. Hyaluronic Acid boosts hydration, while Beta-Glucan and Madecassoside—a compound derived from Centella Asiatica—calm and fortify the skin barrier. Though its format leans more playful, the ingredients are supposed to work hard while you sleep, leaving skin soft, refreshed, and subtly more refined come morning.

Medicube’s skincare product range walks a fine line between being an example of the risks of viral marketing and genuinely effective skincare. They don't push the boundaries of skincare formulation ingredients-wise.

If you're simply looking for that 'glass-skin' glow over any actual long-term benefits then this could be a strong contender.

When it comes to our Medicube Collagen Jelly review and Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask review - I personally would have liked to see more groundbreaking ingredients or expertise that could them apart in what is now a crowded market. Although, while some elements, like the texture of the Collagen Jelly Cream and the viral hype around the Wrapping Mask, can feel more trend-driven than truly innovative, the products can still manage to deliver a few noticeable, dewy results: visible hydration and a subtly glossy glow. I do really feel it made for bouncy and 'wet' looking skin while it was on!

That said, if you’re looking for pore care, hydration, and a touch of fun in your skincare routine, Medicube has its strengths—especially for those who enjoy skincare that feels sensorial and social-media-ready. They may also be onto something pretty great with their product design, too.
